Scilly Labyrinths at the Old Town Inn

In order to bring the celebration of Scilly’s Labyrinths - and the restoration of Giant’s Castle Maze in particular - to a wider audience, we held a free gig at the Old Town Inn the evening before the pilgrimage walk and celebration on Salakee Down. This also improved the accessibility of our project - as those who might have found the coast-path walk and event too difficult, could also join in with the fun. Daisy Rickman and Goblin Band played outside to a packed garden, and culinary artists Poppy Litchfield and Anaïs Serres created bespoke labyrinthine cocktails - a lost martini and a found elixir - a tasting journey feast for attendees. Layan Harman gave a speech about our work with Scilly’s labyrinths to contextualise the evening for everyone, and bring the Scilly Labyrinth Project to a new audience.
