Caerdroia Article : The Journal of Mazes and Labyrinths

We were absolutely delighted to be invited to write an article about the Restoration of Giant’s Castle Maze for the latest issue if Caerdroia: The Journal of Mazes and Labyrinths. Caerdroia journal - established in 1980 by labyrinth expert Jeff Saward - is the iconic resource for all things labyrinths and mazes, and we’re so excited to be included in it’s legendary pages.

Caerdroia: The Journal of Mazes and Labyrinths, est. 1980 - Issue 54.

Caerdroia - and Jeff’s companion website labyrinthos.net - has been a priceless resource for our labyrinth project, helping us to understand more about Scilly’s labyrinths and labyrinth lore more generally. Jeff has also been an incredibly generous and helpful support as we navigated the process of restoring Giant’s Castle Maze, and his enthusiasm for everything we discovered about the maze’s history was so encouraging.

Our article in the printed magazine, showing Giant’s Castle Maze pre-restoration.

If you would like to read the article, you can order a paper copy of Caerdroia (if you are based in the UK) from: https://labyrinthos.net/publications.html or a digital copy (available worldwide) from: https://labyrinthos.net/digitalorder.html - if you do, please let us know what you think of our article: scilly.labyrinth.project@gmail.com

Thank-you so much to Jeff for inviting us to contribute, and for all your support through the project. It means the world to us to have your guidance through the winding labyrinth paths!
