  • Giant's Castle Restoration

    Giant’s Castle Maze on Salakee Down

    Saturday 14th - Sunday 15th June 10am - 3pm

    Meet at Old Town

    All are welcome to join us in sensitively restoring the overgrown and dilapidated Giant’s Castle Maze with the Isles of Scilly Community Archaeology Group and Wildlife Trust.

    Accessibility: please be advised the coast path to access the Maze is about 1km long and very uneven.

  • Creating a New Summer Solstice Labyrinth

    21st June 2025 from 11.00am - 4.00pm

    White Island Bar, St Martin’s

    Join us in creating a new pebble labyrinth at White Island Bar - the site of a historic maze-making tradition on St Martin’s - to align with the rising sun at Summer Solstice.

    All welcome. Remember to wear sun protection and bring water to drink as it is an exposed location.

  • Labyrinth Summer Festival: Daisy Rickman & Goblin Band live at the Old Town Inn

    8:00pm on Saturday 2nd August 2025

    The Old Town Inn, St Mary’s

    An evening of labyrinth inspired revelry with music from rising stars on the UK’s folk scene Daisy Rickman and Goblin Band. Plus lost cocktails and strange snacks from culinary artists Poppy Litchfield and Anaïs Serres. A free event as part of our Labyrinth Summer Festival, reimagining Scilly’s lost mazey folklore. All welcome but children must be accompanied after 8.00pm.

  • Labyrinth Summer Festival: Celebratory Reopening of Giant's Castle Maze

    3 August 2025 - meet at Old Town Beach at 3.00pm to process around the coast path to the site.

    A procession of mazey music and traditional labyrinthine Cornish dancing out on the coast-path at Salakee Down to celebrate the high summer festival of Lammas and the “reopening” of the restored Giant’s Castle Maze. Expect music and pageantry from folk musicians Daisy Rickman and Goblin Band - a free event as part of our Labyrinth Summer Festival, reimagining Scilly’s lost mazey folklore.

  • Vanishing Labyrinths of the Isles of Scilly Exhibition on St. Agnes

    13 - 27 September 2025.

    St Agnes Island Hall

    Open 10:30am - 4:00pm daily

    An art exhibition spotlighting Scilly’s unique labyrinth heritage, and showcasing the labyrinth project work created on Scilly this year.

    Expect: research into the history of mazes in Scilly; material relating to the restoration of Giant’s Castle Maze; original artworks (costumes, sculpture, photography, installation, stone carving) inspired by Scilly’s mazes and labyrinths by local artists Teän Roberts and Layan Harman; and a short film screening documenting the project.

  • Autumn Equinox Exhibition Evening Opening Event on St. Agnes

    20 September 2025 at St Agnes Island Hall

    Saturday evening: 6:00pm

    Come to St Agnes Island Hall on the evening of Saturday 20 September for an event to celebrate the opening of the Labyrinth Exhibition.

    Screening of the 20 minute Labyrinth Project Film at 8:00pm.

  • Labyrinth Walk and Artist Talk

    20 September 2025 beginning at St Agnes Island Hall

    Saturday morning: 11:00am

    A tour of the labyrinth exhibition with a focus on Troy Town Maze, followed by a guided walk out to Troy Town Maze itself.

    Walk cancelled due to storms - replaced by tea and talking in the exhibition space - shelter for as long as you need.

  • Guided Walk: Troy Town Maze & Santa Warna's Well

    Beginning on St Mary’s Quay (9:45am) or St Agnes Quay (10:30pm)

    19th April 2026

    A guided walk on St Agnes. We will walk from St Agnes Quay to Troy Town Maze and on to St. Warna's Well discussing the myths and mysteries connected to these relics from the island’s past.
