Archaeologist-Technologist Tom Goskar describes his experience working on Vanishing Labyrinths

We were extremely delighted that the brilliant archeological surveyor / technologist / folklorist / artist Tom Goskar has written a fantastic blog post about the experience working with us on Vanishing Labyrinths of the Isles of Scilly. Read his post by clicking the button below:

Tom was one of the first people we collaborated with on the project when he and his partner Tehmina came to Scilly to digitally scan Giant’s Castle Maze. The incredible scans he created subsequently informed how we approached the restoration of the ruined maze, turning it back into a usable labyrinth once more.

“It was an absolute pleasure to be involved in such a creative project. It was firmly grounded in research and guided by a strong sensitivity to the unique sense of place of the Isles of Scilly.”

~ Tom Goskar

We were so heartened that Tom came back to Scilly in September to visit the Vanishing Labyrinths of the Isles of Scilly exhibition on St Agnes, to see his work in the show. And we were even more pleased that he wrote such an interesting blog post about his experience working with us. We loved working with Tom and Tehmina and hope to collaborate with them again in the future on more projects.
